After their official opening, the beautiful Short Stories Hotel in Los Angeles, California needed a website that showcased their transformation. The property, located in a prime spot in West Hollywood, dates back to the 1950s – not that you’d be able to tell! The extensive renovation brought modern Californian style and luxury to every space in the hotel.  

Boasting 60+ rooms, as well as stylish, photo-ready dining options and meeting rooms, they needed a website that let the pictures do the talking – with a strategy and design to bring in guests.

The Challenge

Prior to opening, Short Stories Hotel’s website was a simple site, not designed for hotel’s specific ecommerce needs. What’s more, it was not yet optimized to bring in new organic traffic. As a rebranded property, the hotel needed to get their name out there.  

Given their location, they receive a wide mix of leisure travelers coming for nearby Beverly Hills and many of LA’s top tourist destinations, as well as business travelers visiting for the nearby studio lots. They needed a website that catered to all these markets.  

“We knew that search engine optimization was very important,” explains Justin Horner, Director of Sales, Revenue & Marketing at Short Stories Hotel. “We had a lot of traffic to our old name and we needed a way to capture those travelers and introduce them to the new hotel.”

The Solution

The team at Short Stories Hotel worked with Leonardo’s Live CMS team to launch a website that truly tells their story. The customized site draws visitors in with their stunning visuals and easy page layout.

“Leonardo’s flexibility, SEO expertise and customizability made it the right choice for us,” says Justin.

Each room type has a dedicated page that lists in-room amenities surrounded by large, eye-catching media. Mini-galleries promote their green oasis as an event space with relevant forms to capture interested guests.

The site is designed so that each page attracts relevant search traffic and then converts that traffic to their booking engine seamlessly.
